Property Quotient: A Real Look At Real Estate, the second instalment

In June, The Redbrick Team hosted her very first real estate summit, the first of many to come. Without a doubt, its success was highly attributed to the strong support of fellow partners and clients, and this fuelled the team’s enthusiasm to put together the second instalment ahead of its original timeline.

Apart from a change of scenery, we had a completely new panel of speakers, and a whole different set of door gifts in our Redbrick goodie bag. Our speakers hailed from various platforms, both old and new, each with an insightful subject matter that satiated our appetite for information in the real estate industry.

Our venue was most kindly sponsored by our partners at Standard Chartered Bank Singapore. Located on the 21st floor of Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1, it was definitely a conducive place for a morning of learning, right in the core of the Marina Bay district.

Pre-event: Interaction between our speakers, David Ng (DWG) and Yuet Whey Siah (DREA.sg)

First up was Yuet Whey, the brains behind DREA.sg.

She kicked off the morning with a presentation on opportunities in the private property market, backed by statistics and analyses conducted by her team.

David Ng, executive director of valuation at DWG, was our second speaker for the day.

David took us through the valuation process and also shared some case studies to put things into perspective.

After which, it was time for our tea break!

Once again, the spread was graciously supported by SCB.

Our guests definitely seemed to enjoy the food!

Right after the break, Michael Chaille, founder of POPETY.com, shed light on the issues faced in property transactions and how the industry can evolve towards building a more transparent and reliable ecosystem.

Our last speaker was director of Absolute Inspection Pte Ltd, Tan Wee Kwang. Wee Kwang shared with us the types of defects that can be found in new homes, covering both common and uncommon defects, and the importance of hiring a professional defects inspection team to do the job for you.

Wee Kwang also brought along his set of defects inspection tools, which he used to demonstrate how they are used to check for defects around the house.

Before we knew it, the morning had come to and end. But not before a gift for all our attendees: a Redbrick Magic Ruler, just by simply liking us on Facebook!

Once again, thank you, from all of us at Redbrick!

Also, special thanks to our friends from Circular Law Chambers who made this event possible.
